About Me

I am a professional tennis coach from Auckland, New Zealand. As a youngster, I was a multiple NZ junior champion and competed regularly in junior tournaments all over the world. I have been coaching since 2001 and am a certified RPT coach of the Sanchez-Casal Tennis Academy as well as a level 4 coach of Oscar Wegner's Modern Tennis Methodology. I also hold certifications from the International Youth Conditioning Association. Apart from coaching, I have also covered the ATP and WTA tours as a print journalist, radio and tv commentator. I also graduated from Otago University with an arts degree and hold a diploma in journalism from Massey University in Wellington.
Since finishing University in 2004 I have been the Director of Tennis at the Inn at Manitou Tennis and Golf Resort in Ontario, Canada; coached in Florida and Hong Kong and was also the Director of Tennis at the Orchard Country Club in Singapore.
I currently coach at the Kufstein and Hopfgarten Tennis Clubs in Tirol, Austria.
My recent playing activity includes being the number one ranked men's player in Singapore in 2010 as well as the winner of the 2010 Singapore men's open and in 2011 I was the runner-up in the Tirolian men's claycourt championships.
